ABOUT VAC

VICOM Assessment Centre Pte Ltd (VAC), a subsidiary of VICOM Ltd, was incorporated in 1996. VAC is a one-stop, post-accident centre, conveniently co-located within three of the VICOM Inspection centres. VAC also operates as an Independent Damage Assessment Centre (Idac). Appointed by the General Insurance Association in 2002, VAC provides independent assessment of damaged vehicles and accident reconstruction services.

VAC operates a hotline where motorists can seek assistance in the event of an accident. Motorists can utilise the wide range of services that the Centre offers - towing of the damaged vehicle, filing of insurance claims, renting a car, arranging for repairs and carrying out quality checks on the repaired vehicle.

The company draws on modern technology to help provide reliable, efficient and professional services. A computer-based system is used to continually track vehicles under processing. Vehicle owners can call and enquire about the status of their vehicle.

VAC is also capable of analyzing and reconstructing vehicle accidents. Using computer software simulation and site evidence, accidents involving motor vehicles can be re-enacted accurately. Started in late 2006, this service has provided useful assistance in resolving disputes in the courts.
